National Gold Star Mother’s Day, also known as National Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day, is observed annually on the last Sunday in September.

National Gold Star Mother’s Day was created to recognize and honor those that have lost their son or daughter while serving our country in the United States Armed Forces.

A gold star symbolizes a family member who died in the line of duty while serving the United States Armed Forces.

Seacoast Salutes

When: Sunday, October 8, 2017
Time: 11 am - 4 pm
Where: Redhook Brewery and Pub - Portsmouth

On Sunday, October 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Service Credit Union will host Seacoast Salutes, a one-day event to honor the sacrifices of our active duty military personnel and their families.

Hosted by Greg Kretschmar from New Hampshire’s most popular morning show WHEB’s Greg & The Morning Buzz, the event will be held at Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth, NH and include live musical performances, bouncy houses, a climbing wall, a mechanical bull, face painting and more. Enjoy free food from many Seacoast favorites such as Chill Catering, Boars Head, Rustic Flatbread Pizza and Shaker Pond ice cream. 

FREE for all Veterans, Active Duty Military and their Immediate Families

FREE for all Kids 12 & under

General Admission: $8 per person, and $20 per family

Once inside everything is 100% FREE


Military Apprecition Day 2017 at Apple Hill Farm

WHEN: Sunday, October 15 2017 - 11AM to 4PM RAIN or SHINE
WHERE: Apple Hill Farm, Concord, NH, 580 Mountain Road, Concord, NH 03301
WHO:  All Military members, Veterans, Retirees and their families
COST: None, it's FREE!

Enjoy free apple picking, Face painting, Pumpkin painting, Apple crisp and more.

FREE to all current Military members, Veterans, retirees, and their families. No need to register, your Military ID is all you need. Family members, such as parents, who don't have a Military ID, e- mail the Blue Star Mothers at nhbluestarmom@yahoo.com. Put the words APPLE HILL on the subject line.  Include the name and branch of your Service Member in the body of the e-mail.

The Souther Family honors all Military, past and present, and are looking forward to seeing you again this year.

Wreaths for Boscawen

December 16, 2017 ~ Starting at 10:30am

We will be laying 1,800 wreaths at the NH Veterans Cemetery

In Sections 5, 6, 43 and 44 plus one at each Columbariums, Section markers
and the flag poles. (Approx. 1,800 wreaths) this year.

Wreath pick up will be on TBA at 10:00am
